DAVID NO: "Darak"
Although No started in the Industry as an actor, he did not initially want to be acting in his own film. But through the auditioning process it became apparent that finding a good actor with good physical skill and the understanding of a “martial-mind set” was going to be difficult.
No’s acting history has included work on Australian TV serials such as Neighbours, Stingers and Blue Heelers – but his most notable roles have been on International productions where he has combined his acting with his physical skills. These projects have included Mr Nice Guy starring Jackie Chan; Invincible which was produced by Mel Gibson and Jet Li, and the Matrix sequel and computer game. His Eurasian appearance has been particularly popular in Korea where he has appeared on several commercials, tv dramas and feature films.
NIKOLAI NIKOLAEFF - "Juda"
Is a rising star in Australia. He first met No when they worked together on the sci-fi thriller Subterano (which starred Alex Demitriadis). Since then Nikolaeff has featured prominently on several popular kids serials including Saddle Club and Wicked Science. He also played a Russian fighter pilot in the Rob Cohen actioner Stealth. More recently, Nikolaeff played the White Rhino Ranger in Power Rangers Jungle Fury.
CAROLYN BOCK - "Marla"
Originally a classically trained dancer at the Victorian College of the Arts, Bock turned her attention to acting and has appeared prominently in Australian film, tv and Theatre for the past decade. Credits include films such as: Zone 39, Sensitive New Age Killer and Huntsman 5.1; tv serials such as Neighbours, Blue Heelers and the adult romp Last Man Standing; as well as such theatre productions as Lady Chatterley’s Lover and plays with the La Mama theatre. Bock also teaches dance and movement theatre to young children.
TONY NIKOLAKOPOULOS - "Sargon"
Noted for his character roles on films like The Wog Boy, Kangaroo Jack, and Head On, as well as the Korean acclaimed Korean TV Drama I’m Sorry I Love You (mian hada sarang handa). A veteran of Australian television, Nikolakopoulos has made appearances on Seachange, Stingers, Blue Heelers, All Saints, City Homicide, and the acclaimed hit series The Underbelly.
KARL VON MÖLLER - Director of Photography
A graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts film school in Melbourne, Karl von Möller has consistently won ACS (Australian Cinematography Awards) on a yearly basis for his work in the commercial industry. von Moller continues to vary his interests, working on film, commercials and documentaries. Credits include the slasher films Storm Warning and Long Weekend, as well as the Australian leg of The Bank Job.
NIGEL MACLEAN - Composer
Nigel MacLean was awarded a scholarship to study jazz at the Berklee College of Music in Boston in 1990 and is now an alumni advisor to that faculty. He has worked in a variety of roles including Personal Assistant, Orchestral Director, Solo Artist, Assistant Producer and Notation Editor for David Hirschfelder on films such as Elizabeth and Sliding Doors, Better Than Sex, What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted. Recently he also was the orchestrator for Geoffrey Wrights film “Macbeth”.
His performance and recording credits include Paul Kelly, Renee Geyer, Kate Ceberano John Denver, Vika and Linda Bull and he currently teaches improvisation for strings at the Victorian College of the Arts and runs an Apple Music Learning Pod in Castlemaine, Victoria.
Using this experience he has gone on to form his own label “Filmharmonix” which has produced albums for Blue Drag (Relaxin at the Camarillo; I’ll see you there), Don Harpers (Illawarra Suite) and Jali Buba Kuyateh (Tumarankee).
